Say the word once, clearly, with a short pause before and after it.
Tap Record. After the countdown, say "Trstenko" once. Tap Stop, listen to the preview, then Send. If it doesn't sound right, Discard and try again.
Good: one clear "Trstenko", a short pause on both sides.
Bad: the start is cut off (you spoke too soon or the recording began late).
Bad: said twice in one clip. One word per clip, please.
Bad: too far away or too quiet, the word is barely audible.
Bad: extra words around it. Say only "Trstenko".
The example clips are synthetic voices, not real people.
We want the same word said in many ways. Across your clips, try:
- Normally
- A bit faster
- Slower
- Louder
- Quieter
- From across the room (about 2 m)
- With something playing in the background
- On a different device or in a different room
Background clips teach the model what is not its name. Good ones:
- Room tone in a quiet room
- TV or radio on
- Typing, kitchen noises
- You talking normally about anything except the wake word
Example of a background clip
⚠ Record only your own surroundings. Don't record other people's private conversations without their permission, because that is illegal. TV, music, street noise, typing and your own talking are all fine.
You can upload mp3, m4a, ogg, wav and most other audio files. Only upload recordings you made yourself, of your own voice or sounds where nobody else can be heard in a private conversation.
- Microphone blocked: tap the lock or tune icon next to the address bar, allow the microphone for this site, and reload. On iPhone: Settings, Safari, Microphone.
- No sound on iPhone: turn off silent mode and check the microphone permission for the browser.
- The clip was discarded: the tab went to the background while recording. Keep the tab in front and the screen on.
- Rejected as too quiet: move closer to the microphone or speak up, then record again.
Your clips are used only to train and test this project's wake-word model. Nobody outside the project team hears them. You can delete everything at any time.
